meal plan 2025-2026
creating campaign identity
Each year, Aggie Dining provides over 10,000 new students and returning upperclassmen with information on meal plans. Clear, scannable design across multiple media formats is essential to ensure easy understanding of the options.
project scope
This year’s theme drew inspiration from scrapbooking and stickers, with a stronger focus on Aggie branding. I created three distinct brochures tailored to different meal plan eligibility groups, then adapted the print designs into digital formats, including an interactive flipbook and a PowerPoint presentation for training purposes.
The brochure drew inspiration from branded stickers, torn pieces of paper, scrapbook photographs, and handwriting.
Getting Started
The process began with updating and refining the brochure text copy, which required ongoing edits and adjustments to the layout throughout the project. I edited photos of food and students for inclusion and created custom hand-illustrated stickers, which I then vectorized for use in the design.

collaging the brochure
Working with an 11x17 artboard, I established a grid system and arranged the text first to ensure clear hierarchy and legibility before introducing graphic elements. I regularly printed progress drafts to check type clarity and verify that design elements aligned with fold lines. After finalizing the typography, I incorporated photographs, paper textures, and hand-illustrated stickers into the layout.

creating the variations
The brochure required three distinct versions: one each for on-campus freshmen, upperclassmen and commuters, and the Corps of Cadets—each with tailored meal plan information specific to their needs. After finalizing a high-fidelity primary design, I adapted and edited it to create unique versions, ensuring content clarity for each group. A fourth brochure was also developed for the Texas A&M Galveston campus, with each version incorporating custom photography and stickers to better connect with its intended audience.

translating the brochure to a digital format
The digital flipbook brochure was designed for Aggie Dining’s website, providing accessible information to all students and parents. To ensure clarity, the copy was rewritten to comprehensively cover every meal plan type, with clear notes on eligibility for each classification. Mirroring the print process, I began with a gridded artboard and focused on text layout before incorporating graphic elements.

Final result
This project proved challenging, with numerous unforeseen changes to meal plan content requiring last-minute adjustments. The maximalist design style pushed me outside my comfort zone, initially making me doubt my ability to deliver a visually compelling result. However, the experience ultimately allowed me to strengthen my layout design skills and accelerate my proficiency in Photoshop.
