bagel block
transforming on-campus market
Directed the rebrand of Blocker On-the-Go into Bagel Block, developing a cohesive visual identity and interior design concept.
project scope
In Summer 2025, I developed a new logo and a series of custom illustrations, created to complement the space during its renovation. With minimal initial direction—other than the transition from a corner store to a café—I was responsible for shaping a fresh visual identity and atmosphere that redefined the customer experience.

design process
For this project, I drew inspiration directly from the building’s history and form. Blocker, one of the oldest academic buildings on campus, is home to many core curriculum classes such as math, political science, and history. Its distinct trapezoidal shape also informed my design approach. I sought to incorporate mathematical forms and a bold, primary color palette to reflect both the building’s academic significance and its geometry.

refining the visual identity
While the initial concept received strong positive feedback, the bright primary colors were considered too vibrant for a study-focused environment. In response, I refined the palette to a monochromatic range of blues—retaining energy through bright accents while introducing softer tones to promote focus and relaxation.

The handoff
As this was my final project with Aggie Dining, it was important to ensure the longevity and usability of the brand. To support continuity, I created a concise visual identity guide detailing logo usage, typography, color palette, and patterns. All design assets were fully packaged and delivered, ensuring the brand could be maintained and applied consistently beyond my handoff.
the result
Although several adjustments were made from the original design mockups during installation, the finalized space successfully captures the intended vision—bright, inviting, and energizing.
