Moderna is a contemporary typeface designed using a modular grid, drawing inspiration from blackletter and classic serif fonts while embodying a deliberate juxtaposition between modern design and ancient linguistic roots. The typeface balances elegant, precise lines with playful curved elements, creating a dynamic visual language that reimagines traditional typographic forms.
Through an iterative design process, Moderna explores the delicate interplay between historical typographic influences and contemporary design principles. This project not only enhanced my skills in typeface design but also deepened my understanding of the interplay between historical influences and contemporary design practices in typography.
